Founded in 2025, the Blue Ridge Young Republicans are dedicated to empowering the next generation of conservative leaders across Western North Carolina. Our mission is to amplify the voices of young conservatives in the region, ensuring that their ideas are represented in the political conversation.
Serving the counties of Buncombe, Henderson, Transylvania, and Polk, we are committed to fostering a strong, united community of young people who are passionate about making Western North Carolina thrive. By engaging in local politics, advocating for conservative principles, and mobilizing the next wave of leaders, we aim to Make WNC Great Again.

Meet Tae Brown
Chairman
A charismatic leader and public spokesperson for influencing behavioral, civil, and political change for our nation. Tae has worked in the education and nonprofit field since the age of fourteen, spanning from prenatal familial support to academia. He currently serves on several non-profit Boards, including the United Way of Henderson County. After a campaign for Henderson County School Board in 2024, he is ecstatic to take his professional and personal skills to develop the next generation of conservative leaders! In his freetime, Tae enjoys spending time with family, exercising, reading literature of all kinds, and spending mindful time with God.
Meet Josi Dacko
Vice-Chairwoman
Our newly elected Vice Chairwoman, Josi, is eager to share her passion for conservative principles with Western NC and beyond. As an active member of the Brevard Chamber of Commerce and the Pisgah Forest Rotary Club, she aims to make a positive impact. In addition to her community involvement, Josi is a Realtor serving WNC and runs her own Energy Healing business, Meta Energy Healing. In her free time, she enjoys live music, pottery, hiking, and traveling. With her curious spirit and sunny disposition, Josi is excited to help cultivate the next generation of conservative thinkers who will lead meaningful change.
Meet Abbi Carson
Recruitment Chair
Abbi is the co-founder and vice chair of FixBuncombe.com and serves as the Secretary for the Blue Ridge Republican Women’s Club. She hosts the podcast What’s Up Buncombe, where she engages with local, state, and national leaders to discuss current events and their efforts to drive positive change. A singer and musician, Abbi is also passionate about gospel and bluegrass music. She is now pursuing business classes to earn a marketing degree. Abbi is excited to embrace this new chapter and see where the Lord leads her.
